Sunday mornings are for spoiling yourself.
Long luxury baths complete with flowers and fragrance are my favorite way to bring in a new week. I love to surround myself in sensorial experiences that also benefit my skin. Weekly sea salt baths are my way to calm, cleanse and clear my energy for the days ahead. The bath varies depending on my current vibe and self-care needs, but there are a few reoccurring elements; the length of time (45 minutes), fragrance, oil & crystals.
A self-love bath is used to relax the spirit, renew the skin and recenter the mind. This is done by handcrafting intentional bathing blends that speak to your current needs. Perhaps your body has been sore, Epsom salts are going to be the star ingredient of your bath. Feeling a little under the weather, shaved ginger root is your go-to. By listening to your body, these bath blends become powerful healing brews. These pamper sessions are also a great time to throw on a face mask, a new coat of nail polish or deep condition your hair. Whatever gets done needs to be focused on making your mind and body feel great.
To bring in September and celebrate the release of my Mystic Rose natural parfum collaboration with Holistic Fashionista, now available in the shop, I thought it would be fun to mix up a super sensual self-love soak. Crafted in San Diego, this Almond oil based parfum is home to notes of Palo Santo, Cedarwood, Vetiver, and Rose. It’s earthy, exotic with a subtle hint of luxury, fit for a Queen! Below is a basic bath recipe but I encourage you to use as many stones, roses or any other form of natural beauty you seem fit. Blending up a self-love soak is meant to calm and connect a woman to her body and essence. Giving yourself permission to rest and rejuvenate has the power to inspire new ideas and balance any scattered energy.
Blending Up Your Bath
Get your self-love party started by gathering the below materials.
- 3-5 drops Mystic Rose Parfum
- 1 tbs Almond oil
- 1 cup Epsom Salt
- Clear & Rose quartz stones ( your choice how many)
- 1 cup Rose petals
Begin by mixing 3 -5 drops of Mystic Rose Parfum into 2 tbs of Almond oil, this will help stretch the aroma once added to the bath. While the tub is filling add the cup of Epsom salt to the water. When the water reaches your desire add in the parfum + Almond oil mixture, and quartz stone. Finish preparing the bath by sprinkling the rose petals on top of the water and speaking an intention over your bath. The water is now ready for your presence.
When your bath is complete, visualize any energies or thoughts that no longer serve you being released down the tub drain with your used bathwater. Allow yourself to release, the same way you allowed yourself to receive this self-loving bath in the first place. There is power in energy awareness and the ability to let go, allow this practice to assist you in the midst of living your best life.
